Clintwood - Appy game

I didn't see anything wrong with the Appy kids. It from a fan in the stands standpoint, was a good, clean, sportsmanlike game. The only thing that was kind of sickening, was the way two of the Appy assistant coaches acted and how they held up the game for almost 10 minutes, not to mention after the penalty was enforced, the one hobbit coming out next to the hashmarkds, bending over and waving "bye, bye" toward Robbins on the sideline. Whatever happened in the pile happened and I don't think Derick or anyone else on the CW side would have wanted an ejection or even a penalty for it. As for the one person who suggested it was a "punch to the shoulder pads", oooooooooooh. That's not a punch. A punch is when you actually punch someone, not smack someone's shoulder pads. What sence would it make to punch someone's shoulder pads anyway???

Anybody else see the irony of this argument and topic? A flag thrown by a ref for a penalty one group says never happened, feelings of getting the screws put to you for something you did not do. A feeling of being robbed and disbelief that everyone cant see it your way. Hoping against hope that good sense prevails. Sound familiar?

Anyone who finds it shocking or apalling that there is pinching, nad grabbing, eye poking, spitting, scratching etc. going on in a pile during a football game mush have never been in one. It goes on, and everyone ends up partaking whether they want to or not. But, you have to keep your cool, cuz there is some rude shiz happening in that pile.

Those who engage in this type of behavior need to go back and read the rules of the game. There is no need for this type of conduct, and nothing justifies it. I played many a game, but never did I sink this low. There are too many legal ways to hit someone in a football game to reduce oneself to this level. Just my opinion.

As a matter of fact I did. I was an All-district guard. I just felt it was better to man up and block than to worry about pinching somebody under a pile. I repeat that's not football...

Changes need to be made in Appy. It seems that what Appy has always stood for is being forgotten. It is not just a game. It is a way of life that is dieing. Bring Back the Tradition and bring back people that know the tradition, not people out for themselves.
